The Hunter Clinic Series offers Alaskan hunters the opportunity to gain new hunting skills or sharpen existing skills. Some of these clinics are offered as weekend events in coordination with conservation group’s annual banquets such as the Alaska Bow hunter’s Association and the Safari Club International.
Clinic topics vary year to year and are based on the public’s interest. Past clinic topics have included: bear hunting, sheep hunting, trophy skinning, waterfowl hunting, reloading, and bear baiting. Other topics of interest have included field care of big game, survival for hunters, navigation, calling big game, wilderness medicine, rifle marksmanship, and shotgun skills.
These clinics will be well advertised in local newspapers, on local radio stations and with flyers at local sporting stores.
